Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any damage is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - said they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Additional Developments
In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
