Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm across the community. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's release, to players forming strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of either and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Lion brings to the scene. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
